The USDA Gardening Zones of Vermont
According to the most recent USDA Gardening Zones Map published in 1993, Vermont is in zones 3b to zone 5a.
The growing zones of Vermont begin with a very chilly gardening zone 3b in the north and finish with a bit warmer gardening zone 5a in the south by the Northern border of Massachusetts.
In the newest gardening zone map, zone 3b has moved north out of Vermont, zone 5 covers the entire southern half of the state with Zone 4 blanketing the north half! Vermont definately shows the signs of our warming climate.
